Abruzzo

Abruzzo is a region of Italy situated on the Adriatic Coast. The regional capital is L'Aquila. Abruzzo is divided into four provinces, L'Aquila, Teramo, Chieti and Pescara.

The landscape is hilly and mountainous with the Apennine Mountain chain running through. A large amount of Abruzzo has been designated as a national / regional park.

Abruzzo is rich in natural beauties and history but is only just starting to be discovered. For those who enjoy culture and history, there is a large amount of castles and medieval towns.
