Algeria

Algeria is situated in North Africa and borders Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Niger, Mali and Mauritania. Algeria is an Islamic, Arab and Amazigh country.

Most of the Algerian coastal area is hilly and mountainous with a few natural harbours. Towards the south is the Atlas Mountain range and the Sahara desert.

Algeria is divided into 48 provinces, 553 counties and 1,541 municipalities. The capital city is Algiers.

Tourism has not developed as much as in Algeria's neighbours due to the nations politics. However, visas can be obtained from the Algerian Consulate.

Algeria would be suited to the person looking for the more adventurous holiday.
