Aosta Valley - Italy
Aosta Valley is situated in the north west of Italy and is part of the Alps. It borders France to the west and Switzerland to the north.
The Aosta Valley is extremely mountainous and is home to Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. It is the smallest and least populated region of Italy.
Many traces of Roman remains can be found in the Aosta Valley such as the city walls and Augustus's Arch. There are also many castles which are open to the public.
The Aosta Valley would make an ideal place for a holiday.
