Asia
Asia is the world's largest continent and has a diverse landscape.
Throughout history, Asia has been home to some great civilisations such as those of Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley and the Huanghe
One of the most populous area of Asia is East Asia, which includes the People's Republic of China.
South Asia comprises of the countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran and Sri Lanka all of which share a similar history and people of Indo-Aryan ancestry.
Southeast Asia consists of two geographic regions: the Asian mainland and island arcs and archipelagoes to the east and southeast. The mainland section consists of Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and Peninsular Malaysia while the maritime section consists of Brunei, East Malaysia, East Timor, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore. Papua New Guinea is an observer in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, as is East Timor.
The Middle East is a region that encompasses southwestern Asia and Egypt but is still often classed as Asia
Central Asia is a region of Asia from the Caspian Sea in the west, China in the east, Afghanistan in the south, and Russia in the north. It is also sometimes known as Middle Asia or Inner Asia, and is within the scope of the wider Eurasian continent.
Asia also has a diverse climate ranging from sub-arctic to tropical as the area is so vast.
