Comoros Islands - Indian Ocean

The Comoros Islands are an island nation situated in the Indian Ocean.

The Comoros Islands are located off the eastern coast of Africa, at the northern end of the Mozambique Channel between Madagascar and northeast Mozambique. The closest countries to the Comoros Islands are Mozambique, Tanzania, Madagascar and the Seychelles.

The Comoros consists of four islands, Grande Comoro (Ngazidja), Moheli (Mwali), Anjouan (Nzwani) and Mayotte (Maore) which form part of the volcanic Comoros archipelago.

The Comoros has a diverse culture and history with a nation that has been formed from many civilizations. For centuries the Comoros Islands were a major stopover along the merchant routes from Africa to the Far East. The official languages are Arabic, French and Comorian.

The Comoros Islands are ideal for that more adventurous holiday.
