Cyprus
Cyprus is situated in the Mediterranean Sea, south of Turkey. It is the third largest island in the Mediterranean.
Approximately one third of Cyprus is occupied by Turkey. Despite the political aspect, Cyprus remains a popular tourist resort.
Cyprus enjoys one of the hottest and driest climates in the Mediterranean with around 340 days of sunshine a year. The rainy season is between November and March.
The island is mountainous and the Kyrenia runs across the north while the Troodos range is situated in the South having Mount Olympus as the highest point.
There are a wide range of areas which are popular with tourists, including Larnaca, Paphos and Coral Bay.
