Famagusta
Famagusta is the capital of the Famagusta District and is situated on the east coast of Cyprus. It has the deepest harbour on the island. Famagusta has resided in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus since the 1974 Turkish Invasion.
Famagusta has some spectular ruins which includes an amphitheatre, Roman Baths, Gymnasium and Royal Tombs. The city of Famagusta has some of the finest examples of mediaeval architecture in the Eastern Mediterranean.
