Portugal is one of the warmest European countries with an average yearly temperature of 13oC (55oF) in the north and 18oC (64oF) in the south.
Portugal can be divided into six main regions, Costa Verde, Montanhas, Costa de Prata, Planicies, Costa de Lisboa and the Algarve. In addition there are the islands of Madeira and the Azores.
