South America

South America is situated in the western hemisphere and the majority of South America is situated in the southern hemisphere. To the west lies the Pacific Ocean, to the north and east lies the Atlantic Ocean and North America and on the northwest lies the Caribbean Sea.

South America consists of twelve countries and three major territories. The countries are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela.

South America is an amazing country to visit, with ancient ruins such as the Lost City of the Incas and the Mexican pyramids. In addition, South America is home to the largest tropical rain forest in the world and the Amazon River. South America would be truly an experince not to be forgotten.
